Mary Rettig's Story
I wanted to be a nurse or teacher early on, but my school didn’t support me and enrolled me in the business track. I left my dream of being a nurse behind, but enjoyed a long career as an early childhood teacher. My teachers and I never dreamed I would start my own business.
I suffered from anxiety and stress early on. I tried many things but nothing helped much till I I finally found relief with using techniques call mindfulness and EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques. There has been a change in me that even my husband has noticed.
Mindfulness is now commonly used in the western world but originated from the eastern world and Buddhism. It is not a religion or new age practice. EFT tapping was invented in the 1990's which involves tapping various pressure points and stating a believe out loud.
I am doing well and living well with my anxiety. It rarely bothers me now for long anymore. Mindfulness and EFT are not cures but help me manage my life and to feel joy and calmness.
I have a degree in Human Services and course work in psychology. I am a reki II practitioner and I am now studying to be an EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner.
I am a lifelong student and enjoy online education, reading and self development. I believe in the importance of setting goals for myself and helping my clients with theirs.
I have been working on my self development and I am studying The Laws of Attraction, Affirmations and Life Purpose. I recently found that my life on purpose is a meaningful life of humor, joy and helping others. Simple but profound.
My blessings,
Mary
